I hope this message finds you all in good health and high spirits.
Here in the UK we are celebrating Spring, Easter and a long weekend!
I wanted to take a moment to wish each and every one of you a wonderful Easter break. Whether you’re spending time with family and friends, indulging in some delicious chocolate eggs or just taking some time out to relax, I hope you have a fantastic weekend. If you are gathering with family and friends, do remember to take a little time out if needed (listening fatigue).
Personally, I’m a sucker for chocolate mini eggs and I confess to one too many bags ‘slipping’ into my trolley. Have to enjoy them while they’re available! I browsed the many large Easter eggs on the shelves and decided I still prefer the smaller treats. Anyone remember when eggs were smaller, but there were also treats inside them? Such excitement at shaking them and wondering what surprise lay beneath the chocolate!
Speaking of joy, this was my feeling this morning as I read an article about inclusive Easter eggs for the blind and deaf. Eggs for the blind which beep and / or vibrating eggs for the deaf – to help them be located. Made of plastic, they can then be swapped over for real chocolate once they’re found. Wonderful!
Easter is a time of renewal and new beginnings, so let’s take this opportunity to reflect on the past year and look forward to the future with hope and positivity. May this season bring you joy, peace, and happiness, and I hope you find renewed energy to pursue your dreams and goals.
As we celebrate, let’s also take a moment to practice gratitude. Despite the challenges we may have faced over the past year, we can all find something to be grateful for. Maybe it’s the support of our loved ones, a new opportunity, or simply the beauty of nature around us. Whatever it might be, taking the time to appreciate and acknowledge the good things in our lives can help us cultivate a more positive outlook and improve our overall well-being. So, let’s take a moment to reflect on the blessings in our lives and express our gratitude to those around us.
I am also immensely grateful for the people I’ve met over the past year, the things I’ve learned, the deaf community we’re building and our future prospects – together.
We have much to be grateful (and excited) for!
Happy Easter and have a wonderful weekend!
